What a Great Job!

Rebekah and Joel worked hard in 2006 and 2007 to prepare to move up to the Juvenile level in both ice dancing and pair skating.  In this photo they competed in the Hickory Hoedown at the 2007 Lake Placid Ice Dance Championships.  In 2008, they continued in Juvenile Dance and Juvenile Pairs and have improved.  They won medals at both the 2008 INDY Challenge for Pairs and the 2008 Lake Placid Dance Championships.  At the 2009 Midwestern Figure Skating Championships, the children won a silver medal in Juvenile Dance and a bronze medal in Juvenile Pairs.  At the 2009 U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships, they won the silver medal in Juvenile Dance.

Rebekah and Joel Schneider-Farris were both born in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  They have lived there all their lives.

They train at the Colorado Springs World Arena, one of the top figure skating training centers in the world and represent the Broadmoor Skating Club, one of the most prestigious figure skating clubs on the globe.

Both Joel and Rebekah are homeschooled.  Their little sister, Annabelle, is also a figure skater.

In September of 2005, the children's father, Dan Farris, was in a horrible accident.  It didn't look like the children's father would live, but he did miraculously recover.
